On Sunday
21 April 2013 our Parish Administrator, Kate Arch, ran
the London Marathon in aid of refurbishments to the
ladies toilets in the Parish Centre, raising a
magnificent £2,111 (including gift aid) in sponsorship.
Kate had been training hard for months and the
congregation had been kept up to date with her progress
in the weekly pewsheet. On the big day Kate was very
nervous but as prepared and ready as it was possible to
be. Her first time in the race, she completed the
Marathon in 4 hours, 34 minutes and 33 seconds, about
what she had been aiming for. It's a lifetime ambition
she's now ticked off, and is vowing never to do it
again! |
