On
Thursday 20 December the Friends of St Matthew’s Music
will be organizing Carol Singing in the Community. Come
and join us as we bring Christmas tidings to the streets
of Kingsley.
If you would like the Carol Singers to visit you and
sing outside your home, and you live within easy walking
distance of St Matthew’s, please sign the list at the
back of the church. All you will need to do is have some
change to throw in our buckets, and encourage your
neighbours to do likewise.
If you would like to join us to sing, there is a list
for
you to
sign too! All are welcome, there’s no audition! Please
make sure that you wrap up warmly…
We will meet at the Parish Centre between 6.30 and
7.00pm and will set off to sing in various locations
around the Parish. Music will be provided and well-known
to all. We will arrive back in church at around 9.00pm
for some carols around the Christmas tree and some hot
soup and mince pies.
All money raised will be split equally between church
and FSMM funds.
We hope you will want to join us (or host us!) for what
promises to be a fun evening of musical fellowship
together. More details for those who have indicated they
wish to be involved will be made available nearer the
time.
The Director of Music, Thomas Moore, is
looking to recruit BOYS from school year 4
to 7 and GIRLS from school year 5 upwards
who are keen to sing and eager to learn.
