The next
instalment of the Saturdays at 4 series will
spotlight the Sounds Historical Ensemble, a group
of musicians dedicated to the performance of early
music. Their repertoire covers an expansive timeline
from the medieval period to the 18th century, featuring
a captivating array of period instruments such as Viols,
Recorders, Theorbo, Baroque Flute, and more.
Join us
for an immersive musical journey through history with
the Sounds Historical Ensemble, as they bring the
rich sounds of the past to life with authenticity and
passion.

concert in the Saturdays at 4 series will feature
the distinguished Paul Dewhurst, renowned
Conductor/Choir Master. Paul serves as the Director of
Music at Bridlington Priory and continues to captivate
audiences as an in-demand organ recitalist. He also
conducts the East Riding County Choir and imparts his
vast knowledge by teaching singing and piano locally.
Join us for a unique performance under the skilled
direction of Paul Dewhurst, whose extensive experience
and passion for music promise to deliver an
unforgettable experience.

The next
in the Saturdays at 4 series features Billy
Baker, a highly accomplished pianist, piano teacher, and
music tutor based in London and Northampton. From a
young age, Billy excelled in both piano and violin,
earning distinctions in all his piano exams, including
the prestigious ABRSM Grade 8. He showcased his
burgeoning talent by performing live at notable venues
such as Symphony Hall Birmingham and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz
Club in London at just 16 years old.
Following a music scholarship at Stowe School, Billy
achieved an ATCL Diploma with Distinction and secured an
A in A-Level Music. His academic journey continued at
the University of Manchester, where he graduated with a
first-class degree in music and earned a distinction in
his LTCL diploma. Join us for a performance that
showcases Billy’s remarkable expertise and his deep
passion for music.

Concluding
our Saturdays at 4 series, we are thrilled to
feature the exceptionally talented pianist,
Christian-Peter Hiemstra. Christian, in Year 8, achieved
remarkable success by reaching the final of the
prestigious International Neuchâtel Piano Competition.
His outstanding performance in the global rounds earned
him a spot in the finals of a professional piano
festival in Switzerland.
Christian's impressive track record includes winning the
Royal College of Music’s annual junior competition in
2022, and participating in enriching musical experiences
across Europe. He attended the summer school for Young
Talent at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where he
delivered a stunning performance of Beethoven’s Piano
Trio in G Major. His musical journey continued in
Salzburg at the Universität Mozarteum.
Having started playing the piano at just five years old,
Christian is deeply committed to his craft, attending
the Royal College of Music every Saturday and practicing
diligently. Join us for a performance that not only
showcases Christian's virtuosity but also his profound
dedication to music.
