News & Events - 2026 Summer Fete

Saturday 4 July 2026

After months of meticulous planning, the grass was cut and the sun shone. The congregation manned the stalls along with family members roped in (you know who you are!).

This year’s Summer Fete proved as popular as ever. Queues waiting for the off. We raised an amazing £3,620.54 for St Matthew’s.

Visitors were entertained by the Raggle Taggle Folk Group, our resident DJ Dave and the very talented dancers from SLT Academy of Irish Dance. Philip Bricher gave an organ recital in church and families had fun searching for the animals hidden on Noah’s Trail.

There was fun and games for all ages and a variety of food and drink choices.

Thank you to each and every one of you who either helped or came along to our wonderful and happy community event.
